Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Will Celica 00+ Celica GT ECU work in my 03 Corolla?

Hi, I am trying to figure out if the Celica GT ECU with the 1zzfe would work in my 03 corolla, replacing my existing ECU...Both engines are the same, but the problem others have been experiencing on their older model corollas (00-02), is the transmission problem (wont match up correctly).. Someone mentioned though that the auto in my car is the same as the auto in the celica. Any info would be great thx.

Dang thats frustrating, wish i could know for sure b/c as far as the engine was concerned, the redline went up, the top speed went up..but the transmission seemed to be the problem...anyone know for sure if the auto tran in the celica gt is the same as the auto tran in the 03 corolla?

Have you check thed the part numbers...
