Hey all, have 2 JL 12" W3 subs in the ride and I have a rattling that annoys the hell out of me from the piece above my license plate where the lights for the plate sit. Also, I have little from my plate, which I took care of most of it with Dynamat. I just attempted using a spray foam insulator, which expands after an hour or so, tonight but to no success. I was curious if anyone has found a resolution for this problem, I know a few others who have it, too...

Thanks in advance,
Rich

i had the same problem, because i have 1 12" JL W6. luckly i work for best buy, so i get a huge discount on dynamat, so that took care of the trunk. now my problem is my f**king gas tank cover rattles, i dont know how to take care of this because anything i do to it will be visible.

I actually also work for Best Buy, heh. Where did you place the Dynamat to get the handle to stop rattling (yes, it's the handle, I just couldn't think of the right word, brain fart). I figured if I could fill the frame of the trunk door with the foam, I could get the handle to stop moving. that didn't seem to be the case.

The part that's actually rattling on your gas cap is the latch, I placed a small piece of dynamat around the latch and it stopped the noise; unfortunately, it flattens out after a few fillups.

what i did for the gas cap was i took to small pieces of foam that were just big enough to put some pressure between the car and the gas cap and i put them right on the 2 corners of the gas cap on the side that open out, then i trimmed them down a little bit so they can't be seen when its closed and no more rattle, the trunk i'm still workin on tho
