What should I look for when puttin together a sound system What is the best sub for around $100 ea at this sight?

Also the best Amp for around 200.

Or should I bump of my expected cost or is there a cheaper place.

Subs, these are probably your best bet at the price you asked, it's a little more than $100 but worth it.

Amps are more expensive, you'll need to pay possibly more than $200 for a decent amp. Plus, how many subs are you planning to run? Cause if you're just running one sub you won't need as much power as you would if you ran 2 subs. Which also determines the costs so.

I heard AudioBahn aren't that bad so those would obviously really pound, but I don't like getting things without listening to the quality of it first so I don't have an opinion on those.

If you're going to power 2 subs, you're gonna be looking at at least a minimal 300W amp, but again it depends on what you get. 300W is pretty good power to 2 10" or 12" subs, but some people prefer more which pounds harder.

I've had good experience with Kenwood amps and would recommend them to anyone, they give off a good amount of power for an awesome price.

Well if you're gonna have 2 AudioBahns who's minimal power handling is 500W each, you're gonna need a 1000W amp or 2x500W or any combination will work. Anything under 1000W won't give off best sound, so try and find something with 1000W-2000W. Try 2 of those Kenwoods I just showed you, they should give you great overall sound quality I believe.

That makes two of us!

I have two 400watt audiobahn 12's (i don't know which series, i bought them off a friend for $50 total, with a bandpass box) and I have a jensen 400 watt amp pushing both of them. It sounds great... they don't bump hard enough to shatter my windows or bounce the car next to me off the ground, but I love the sound I get out of them.
