celica2nv Senior Member 2003 Toyota Celica GT Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 400 Southern New Jersey	im guessing it has something to do with shifting but anyway here is a stupid question why do some cars make an air sound when they shift from the outside?

LostAngel Specialist Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,619 Pennsylvania	I believe your talking about a blow off valve...when you have a turbo...it creates boost...when you let your foot off the gas (to shift), the blow off valve releases built up air.
