Do other people when action packages get kind of pissed of when people say it just a factory option or shit like that. My friends think thats is stupid i got a kit from the factory and dont really consider it a mod. I consider it a mod. also today at the car wash i was there and some old lady (at least 50) rolls up in her action package and it pissed me off. So im considering switching kits (down the road).
i think the trd kit is tight. i wanted one, but the dealer said they didnt offer it for the gt (2002). but it was in the brochure. wtf? the kaminari kit looks freakin nice, and is my favorite if youre going to switch. did you have any ideas as to which you would get if you changed?
Dont know probably the new veilside but by the time i will be able to afford it they will prolly have a new kit out . But i wanna get rims first then work on the suspension.
i like the trd kit, it's aerodynamic. and yea i agree that it's played out, but it doesn't look ricey like other kits. the only kits i would go for other than action package is trial and kaminari.
it is a factory oprion...and when it came out it was unique...but now its played out.
that is the problem with factory-offered kits. when i was looking at buying celicas...the trd kit was an option at $1,100 (not sure what it is now). but for that...you can buy an authentic (albeit unpainted and not instaleld) body kit from a good name brand.
my point is...for only a few hundred more you can get a car that is more customized than what a factory offered kit can get you. whereas most drivers are NOT tuners...i do see many action packages on celica cars here. the problem is that these people are not worried about tuning--just what looks good. and personally, i think setting yourself apart from the mainstream is a main ingredient of the tuner world. buy something other than a trd kit.
