Yes there is an issue..

@ TRDandJDM

Please answer my e-mails & pm's about my TRD rear strut tower brace! I am waiting since over half a year for this part and i have paid you around $240 in July 2003!
Neither i received my money back as you promised me, nor you delivered the TRD Part to me!
I have the impression that you had ripped me off!
Please hurry up, guy! angry

you DID pay with a check or money order right? and you DID keep your receipt or check stub, correct?

you don't necessarily need a check stub..because if he cashed it, it'll show up on record at a bank...but it's a hella lot easier to show a judge a stub so they can look into it.

if you don't get it, take it to the police (if he's out of state it's the fbi)

he's in Germany, TRD is in Asia (forget where)

Send him a pm or email, he'll see it easier that way rather than posting on the boards.

I paypaled him the money. After some weeks he told me that he cannot deliver my wished part and so i reclaimed my money back from him. He told me then, that his Paypal account is frozen or has been terminated in the meantime and he cannot give me the money back! wtf
Then i told him he should deliver me another part instead (TRD rear strut tower brace) but nothing happened again since then! thumbsdown

The only thing i have is this..

Chris Wong

As you see, it is very hard for me to get in contact with him, because i live in Europa (germany)

paypal is insured by the FDIC and they also have what they call "paypal buyer protection" which you can find more information about here: paypal.com: paypal buyer protection [paypal.com]

what this does is covers most (on that webpage, you can click a link to the exceptions) transactions less than $500. since this includes you, you are likely protected. you have to make this claim within 30 days though..so i doubt you have much time left. also, you will not be able to make another claim after this (you only get 1 claim) so i wouldn't use paypal anymore if the seller is questionable (only use proven reputable sellers)

if you have anymore questions, refer to the above link and contact paypal thumbsup

i hope that everything works out for you.

Paypal is NOT insured by FDIC, but by spending the 2 hours of reading through 120 pages of legal terms of service, you will find exactly what is FDIC insured... the money you GAVE to them, not YOUR money...

"PayPal will pool your funds together with funds from other Users, and will place those funds in accounts at one or more FDIC-insured banks ("Pooled Accounts"). You agree that any earnings on the Pooled Accounts will be the property of PayPal, and you will not receive interest or other earnings on the funds that PayPal handles as your agent."

so you got your money back already, right? but you still want him to send you this part, even though you "reclaimed" your money from him... confused

Apparently, no, he did not get his money back:

I'm experiencing the same thing right now. I ordered a set of trd fender flares from TRDandJDM over 7 months ago and I still haven't got them. He said that he shipped it to me over a month ago but I still haven't got anything. Also, everytime I email him it takes him about a week to reply.

well everyone who reads this should make a mental note of it. it's sad to say, but some sellars are reputable and some obviously are not.

i know that i will not be ordering anything unless he can make a defiant turnaround (but i can promise you that i won't be the one to help him do the turnaround).
