Does it really add 14 HP? I just got my Silver GTS Celica w/ Action Package used from my local Toyota Dealer. The guy who owned it before me installed the TRD Extended Exhaust. I've always thought my Celica has 180 HP as I have not added anything yet. But because of this exhaust, does it mean that I have 194 horsepower?

it has 180 at the flywheel, but you lose quite a lot through the tranny and all the bullshit. Basically they rate the motor. At the wheels you'd be lucky to get 160.

No way does JUST an exhaust add 14 hp. In fact, I'd say you'd be lucky to gain 14 hp with an exhaust, header, AND intake.

ok ok...TRD didn't exactly lie with the 14hp gain...on a GTS when it hits lift it does SPIKE to 14hp increase for abuot 200-300 rpm...but the steady increase (the one that matters) is arount 5.5 whp on a GTS (GT models benefits less)...which is excellent just with an exhaust. thumbsup

It's misleading to just say "14hp," I think. But thanks for explaining that.
