Whats a good price/shade for window tinting?

here you can get a very good quality tint job for a ballpark figure of $150.

and personally..i think the best shades of tint are the ones that are right at the legal limit. this will avoid problems with the law and they are usually provide adequate protection as well as cooling advantages.

yep...$150 is a good price for all the windows, except for the windsheild.

I say a good tint is 35% in the front and mayb 20% in the rear.

I would get 20-35% up front and 0-5% in back.

i got the titanium tint from california tint.
it says h.p.c.c. 26 or something and it was 100 notax

how do i know the percentage of my tint from

if doing all windows/glasses, a good price is 100-120. also remember that when you tint the rear glass dark black (limo tint) you wont be able to see shit at night when ur backing up from a parking lot at night. thats the disadvantage of dark tints, take that into consideration if you still dont have them tinted.

Go with mirror or titanium tint!!! You can go legal limits with it and still get the complete privacy that you want from limo tint. I had mine done a year ago and most of the time its real hard to get a good look inside.

i wouldn't get any tint other than shades of black.

titanium tint is a shade of black.
i think its called titanium because its supposed to not fade or bubble but if it does, there's a lifetime warranty that will cover the price to redo the tint.

Im thinkin of tinting my windows

at california tint, its measured by c.c. or something and mines c.c.26 all around.

Mine was $100. Rear and small side windows black and sides are legal and a black stripe on the windshield.

I got all my windows tinted and a sunstrip for 135, 15% all the way around, and 5% sunstrip. I am yet to find a flaw in the work.

I gave $120 for 20% all around...legal is 35% here. Been pulled over twice by HP for my tint, but they didn't do anything about it b/c i had my tint sticker.

i dont find mirror tint matching with black color. its good with silver and thats maybe about it.
as for the tinting law, do a search on this site, isaac had posted a topic about it before.

that bmw i mentioned has smoke on the front two windows, and mirror in the back and rear. i think thats why it looks off...and ugly chrome wheels. but thats besides the point

Sticker showing it meets legal standards for the state...have to have one for an inspection sticker.

whoever put on your tint should give you one...my tint isn't legal, but he put one on anyway

But you got to remember, California is completely different from Mississippi...they may not do the same things. And it all depends on who does your tint for you. 35% is legal here, but the guy that did my tint will put a sticker on your car even if you have 5%. Check into your tint laws...there was a link above? You may not need a sticker like I do.

Agree...other than mirrored tint but i dont count that as really a colored tint...

Mississippi has state inspection stickers. Not all states do, I'm not sure. Maybe it's because we are the poorest state in the US and they just want a way to get an extra $5 out of everyone that owns a vehicle. But anyway, if a car has aftermarket tint, we have to have a little sticker that says it meets the tint laws for the state (35% all around). This tint sticker is required in order to get an inspection sticker here. I have a sticker, but my tint is 20%. So I still may have trouble getting an inspection sticker.
