Having them deploy in an accident when they really aren't needed, and replacing the sensors and the airbag itself. Also if you are a weight reduction freak, I have known people to take them out, but .01 percent of people would actually take them out for that reason. Also, there is the risk that they would do more harm than good especially to small children, but it's been proven that airbags are more beneficial than harmful. Anyways, kids under a certain age and weight should be kept in the back seat. I don't know where I'm going with any of this so I'm gonna stop typing now.

I think he's talking about the airbag suspension.. Oh, well that would make a little more sense. In my defense though, the question was kinda vague and hard to comprehend.

imo, bags are awesome and i wish i could afford them. you can lower or raise your car depending on the situation (bumpy road vs. smooth road. vs parked, etc.)
but you asked about downsides...about 2 months ago my friend who has bags on his ram 1500 was riding and one of his bags gave out for whatever reason...needless to say his front end took a dive into the pavement which obviously messed a few things up. wasnt too expensive cause it was just exterior work, but no one likes being out of a car.
as with anything, i'm sure there are more disadvantages to this, but thats the only one that i can personally refer to.
but personally, i think the advantages for outweigh the disadvantages. another good thing about them is that when parked, you can drop your cars frame enterily on the ground (depending on wheel size) so you won't have to worry about getting your rims stolen (can't put a jack under, and w/out a key you can't start the car to flip the switch to the bags). but most of all...i think they just add crazy style.

What size wheels would be perfect for the air bags suspension?... sorry about hte confusion 17"s. you can get 18" but i don't think you could put your car flat on the ground w/out having a seriously low kit. someone correct me if i'm wrong but i beleive this to be true.

I have a friend with an Integra and he has bag's--everytime he goes to work he puts the bags on so his car lookz low as shit...it lookz nice as hell but his bag controlls get stuck a lot and his car gets stuck that low for a while...i would never get bags! but it's your choice!

another downside to bags is that if you are driving while they are up and you run through a stick or something sharp such as a nail gets tossed up and into them - not only do you loose suspension and you crash your front end as mentioned above, but you may also drive into somebody, causing even a larger problem. if you have bags, don't brag about it to 'haters'... its very easy for them to take a knife and jab it into one of the bags and your car is stuck until someone can lift it onto a truck and into the shop for repairs. if your bag gets ripped, you will need to replace the whole bag on that side... ... ontop of what I've already mentioned, you will need to make room in your car for the air compressor. upgrade your battery to support the power-draw of that compressor and you need to decide if "pressure-speed" OR "silence/less-noise" is what you would rather have
