the points depend upon the street speed limit he was going 95 mph in.
obviously doing 95 mph in a 40 is much more points than doing 95 mph on a 70mph freeway.

i had a ticket going 96/55. i had a choice of going to jail for 30 days or a $440 fine plus 6 points. obviously i took the fine. if i went 4 mph more i could of when to jail and a $1000 fine. this just happend recently so i dont know how much this is going to affect my insurance. you can take driving defence classes, so that should reduce 4 points. and the class is about 8 hrs and about $80 to register. you can only take one class per 3 years. if you decide not to take the class, the points stays with you for 10 years.

happy new year yall here that would be 4 or 5 points. not exactly sure because we don't really have 55 mph streets here except in some congested areas. and for info about next new years (and any other holiday or major event)...there are ALWAYS more cops on the road during holidays because there is always more drinking going on at those times. i know it might seem opposite of logic...but holidays are the worst time to drive if you want to avoid cops.
