ok i just got my neons installed thanks to the help of some people e on here. they are inside by the way. i was just wondering if i were to go to the battery instead of the fuse box would they be brighter...i plugged them in with th cig adapter when i fisrt got them and now that they are spliced and together oon one switch and one fuse they seem dimmer.if i were to run each one to one switch and two fuses would they be brighter andy suggestions would b fine

you should be able to find a power source inside the cabin that can efficiantly pwer the neons. if you want you can go straight to the battery, but make sur you put in a fuse some where. there is also a downside to doing that, if your forgetfull like me, because they won't shutoff when you turn the car off

oh and i forgot to specify. the wire going from the power souce to the switch should be thicker than the wires going to the tubes since theres two

k so if i use a thicker wire than i might get more power creating brighter lights?or should i jsust use two switches and go to two different fuses?

a thicker wire should work yeah, but get the 'thicker' wire as 'skinny' as possible since the cig lighter is only given so much power to begin with...you don't need an overly thick wire. if x amount of current is supplied to a source..and you tap into that source..then you only need a wire just thick enough to carry that x amount of current. any more is overkill.

i'm not saying to get 4 gauge or something, just thicker than the wires on the neon, actually though, if you don't have any wire and don't want to spend the money, you can use two wires from the source to the switch, it would work just as well
