what is your take on resetting the ECU after installing your new TRD exaust or an Injen CAI...?

(by "resetting", I mean taking the battery connecters off for a few minutes so that the celica's computer will revert back to stock settings and ferget about all the driving habits that it remembers about you)

Well I'm not sure if it totally resets everything. I just do it because everyone recommends doing it. I'm sure some of the ROM chips in the ECU and even some of the RAM that is stored remains even after a reset IMO.

You will need to reset it after CAI to avoid CEL. There is no need to reset after exhaust IMO. But, it won't hurt.
