Just go to a Honda dealer and ask just for the antenna , and it won't cost much. The exact price depends on where you live. You can then install it yourself.

Nope, just unscrew your stock antenna. You might need a wrench for that if it's too tight. Then screw your new antenna in. You would probably want to put some loc-tite on the threads like Pete00 said to prevent theft. For some reason or another they tend to get stolen. (That's pretty low if you ask me to steal someone elses antenna...)

amen to that.

or you can go to your toyota dealership and ask a mechanic to take out your stock antenna with one of their special tools. it will literally take them 1 minute and they shouldn't charge you anything!

from your profile it says you have a 2001 celica? b/c here in north america the 2000 - 2002 celicas, stock antenna is at the back and can be replaced by the s2000 as seen in the pix above. our 2003 model the stock antenna is coming out of the roof.

confused

In that case I don't even know if you can replace your antenna with a s2000. Where is your antenna located, do you have any pics of your car?

If I use loc tite, how do I get the s2000 antenna off and replace it if it gets mangled because of the scum who tried to steal it? (Yeah there's a lot of f&^* up people where I live.)

from the look of the pic it looks like you already have a short-lil antenna on your roof... why you wanna go to the trouble just to get a s2k one on the rear? personally i think yours looks better...

PETE...maybe I have misunderstood something..but the 2003 antenna is sure as hell not on the roof. Its in the same place as 2000-2002.

Do the Canadian celicas have the antennas on the roof? The reason I'm asking is because Pete is from Canada thumbsup

in 2003, the antenna is in the same place so i dont know where you heard that it is on the roof. the only difference is that on the GTS it is a power antenna so it only comes up when the radio is on. and on the GT its just the normal antenna like it has been since 2000.

rightt... well it looks ugly to have a long antenna on the roof... so i was thinking to have a shorter one like an s2k antenna which is at the back... hmm well since its gonna take too much trouble installing an s2k antenna i'll just leave it the way it is [Razz]
thanks anywayz
