hey wassup,
I'm dinkinq about purchasing a OBX short shifter. I heard that generic brands for short shifters, struct bars, etc. aren't dat any importance. What do you guys dink? Should i purchase it, change it?

I don't know anyone with OBX. But, I know a lot of people with TWM, TRD, and B&M. And they are happy with them. I would stick with the brand name stuff on this one. wink

ill stick with da twm performance short shifter.
- I also heard ppl cut off like 2 inches off the stock shifter and dey said its works da same as any other short shifters. Do you guys agree?

Cutting off 2 inches from your stock shifter will only shorten the height of the shifter.

The aftermarket short-shifters actually shorted the throw you need to get from gear to gear as well as making the shifter shorter. Aftermarket shifters also make shifting from gear to gear more "crisp."

My homie eugic92 cut his stock one, it looks like a shortshifter but he says that its really stiff now, so its a bitch to put it into reverse.

I have the obx s.s. and I have never exprianced a problem with it.

i HAVE an obx ss and i've also felt the b&m ss. they feel exactly the same. but get what you want. i've had no problems with mine either.

i have a obx and its fine. performance stuff i'll spend the extra money...but a metal rod is a metal rod for a ss. in my opinion
