Today leaving school we were all talking and messing around. I was in my car stopped talking to some people I know and this kid out of nowhere runs and jumps on the hood of my car and i hear it crunch underneath him. I was shocked and speechless. Then I just started screaming for him to get off. When i get out he put 2 scratches in my hood and scratched my hoodscoop. Our parents talked and he has to pay to have the hood buffed out. He gets off with the hoodscoop because I have a c-one style scoop that i was about to paint and install. I just had to vent.
I know him i guess he was just joking around but you dont jump onto someones hood. I would get mad if he slowly crawled onto but he pounced on it. He hit it so hard he broke his own glasses.

Why not let him pay for the damage of the hoodscoop? Even though you're going to replace it, it still has a certain amount of damage which he has to pay for. The fact you already have a new one doesn't make any difference. What if your new hoodscoop is broken and you want to put the old one back?
