Your E-Bay buy looks legite. Go with a CIA if you can. The colder air the better. A shortram is just for looks IMO, but a CAI will give the looks and a little added performance needed without the worries in our Celicas. I can't say how many times I have drove in the rain, sleet, slush, ice, and snow. And I'm getting sick of typing it here. Just don't be stupid! Sure I was worried at first VERY!!. But the placement of the filter on the Celica keeps the moisture down on it. Remember oil and water don't mix? Just don't submerge the filter in water and you will be fine. Good buy on your shortram though - looks nice.

Good buy on your shortram though - looks nice. yes, but intakes provide minimal horsepower gains anyway (whether shortram or cai). the difference between the two are for all intents and purposes, null. for example: tony has a cai, isaac has a shortram...tony says you can't even tell the difference (not that anyone could feel a 1 or 2 horsepower difference) in my opinion...shortram does indeed look better, is an easier install, and the chance of hydrolock is virtually eliminated. that said, if you plan on adding exhaust components in the future (exhaust, muffler, header), the cai's horsepower increases will be increased..and the difference between the cai and the shortram will show a littl more. overall...thats a great deal! i love it!
