would the dash light for driving lights blink when a headlight is out? I put all new lights in about 8 months ago and one of my low beams blew out, my other low beam was expanded ready to blow (bulged out), and now my fog lights do not work all with in a week of each other. Please help. thankyou smile

I am assuming you changed all your lights to aftermarket bulbs? If so, most aftermarket bulbs burn at a higher wattage, and therefore, do not last as long as stock. Yours lasted 8 months, which is pretty good. It is not unusual that they are burning out within weeks of each other. Please remember some aftermarket bulbs have been known to get so hot that it fries the stock harness. I recommend you check your wire harness. Also, check your fuse. If everything is OK, you simply replace the bulbs and you should be fine.

Word. I had some 100W bulbs that a friend gave me. Didn't bother to put them on since I knew I had to use a wire protector and the bulbs would burn out quicker if I didn't use one. I just set them aside and got some 5000K bulbs that burn at the standard wattage (55W for lows, 65W for highs).

in addition to the agove information by tony and magnus.

i'm not exactly sure how it is for the celica (i have not had a headlight/taillight out yet), but for many makes/models if a headlight or taillight is out, the blinkder light, when engaged, will blink very fast to let you know that an exterior light is out. (instead of that 1-2-1-2-1-2 click of the blinker...it'll be a rapid succession of blinks & clicks (1-1-1-1-1-1)

Hey, thanks for all the replies guys. This is mandalin55's boyfriend BTW smile I kinda figured those bulbs were just cheap, but we can replace them several times at $15 a pair rather than spend $50 on name brand bulbs.

I blew both my low beam bulbs on the Grand Prix a couple weeks ago too...they only lasted about a month...at least those bulbs had a lifetime warranty rolleyes. I'm just a bulb changin' fool hehe.

no problem, glad we could help thumbsup

lol but at $15 a pair AND if they only last a month..that means only 3 months and your already 'buying' a name brand bulb that will last most likely a few years.

maybe that was just one case..but if they are going out anywhere less than 1 year, i wouldnt buy them. i have an '00 and my headlights/taillights have yet to be changed to my knowledge (unless the dealership or previous owner changed them out)
