Last night I captured these stills for your viewing pleasure. Dropping the jet engine in. Welding the intake in. About to cut the intake tunnel hood scoop About to test. Note the fire suit. The engine fails to ignite. No flames yet... After a quick cleaning, it lights up! Fire! They roast some chickens on a stand. The (imho) ugly new paint job with very realistic flames. Taking it out of the truck. It moves! Flying down the track. Parachute deployed. A new run, Celica hurtling towards the camera at 180mph. Jessie triumphantly cheers with his fist out the window as the run comes to a stop.

unbelievable. It just goes to show what a bunch of cash and all the right tools can do.
Looks kinda wierd streched to fit the engine in the back like that. also looks like one of the original celebrity race celica's (Jesse's to be specific).
Choppin up a perfectly good race car... man, they should've used a bone-stock celica for this, although the original cage would've been required to stiffen the unibody for this...
It's like the saying goes: Speed is a question of money... How fast do you want to go?

Slow? It went a 185?
IMO I like the paint job, flows well with the jet engine in the back. I mean what else would you put???

I agree, it looks quite odd stretched out in the middle like that. One can't help but wonder what a stretch Celica limousine would be like. Did it bother anyone else how rough they were with parts as they took them off? Like ripping off the front bumper and slamming it on the floor? The worst was the DeLorean show where they trashed two nice DeLoreans. I've heard the DeLorean boards had a fit about that show. Also noteworthy is the fact that the headlights on that car are nonexistent. What you can see in the pictures are just painted on. This I know is also done with funny car tail lights because the car manufacturers want the modified car to resemble their product.

stretch look: paint job: whatever speed: unsatisfying. burning 160+gallons per mile comparing with 40gallons per mile is unsatisfying speed. i know it could be faster, but why couldnt they go somewhere longer to test the speed? seeing the car being ripped off completely kinda turned me down for a reason. i guess bcz we dig it and we work so hard to make it better and make it look nicer while they ripped it off like jerks and threw em one on top another. they dont even sell these stuffs huh?
