Yes, the W7's are one of the hardest hitting subs on the market right now. One with 1000 watts is plenty.

I have a 12W0-4, do you think I should get another of the same and have two w0-4 12's or go up to a single W7? Or maybe get 2 W7's??

JL makes a 13" w7 and a 10" w7 .. not sure if they make a 12. But if they do, you would need atleast a 1000watt amp to power it. I have 2 12" w6's .. that hit awesome. JL 1000wt amps are very pricey (average about 900-1000$ a peice)... but get the best out of your subs. The next best thing would be alpine (a little less in price, are easier to channel multiple hook ups) if you're only going to get one sub, I'd get the 13" w7 .. major show potential and mind blowing sound. I've been looking into a new ssystem, I'm a huge JL fan, I personally am going for 3 10" w6's. Nice choice i subs though!
