I'm trying to get an estimate of what everything is gonna cost to complete a body kit.

How much did everyone pay for their paint on the body kits?

Thanks

I've gotten estimates between $1200-1500 but I'm guessin that installation of the kit is tossed in there somewhere. Also depends on if you want an entirely new color or adding different shades or tones and whatnot.

Y dun you just paint the parts then? They can usually match the color pretty good. If you decide to repaint the whole car white, ur still looking at near $1000.

I was thinking about doing the paint myself. I have a 33 gallon air compressor, when I bought the air compressor I kept in mind that maybe down the road I'll want to paint. But the only thing I'm missing is the heated lamps to dry the paint.

That's why I'm curious how much a job would cost.

Hmm.. if ur unsure about how to go about it, you could ask a paint shop for advice but if you mess it up, the blame is all on u. Unless you know wat ur doin you should goto a professional.

Yeah, if I do it, this would be the first time. So I'm leaning more on a pro doing it.

Besides, it be a hassle to do all that sanding.

labor = work done
paint = 500

so 1800 total...don't get me wrong though, this was done at a body repair place who don't know anything...so I mean, for that price, you would think it would be excellent, but it's normal.
normal price range for a full kit like mine would be between 800-1000 maybe.

1000 bucks for a color change you must be buts more like 2000 if you want a good job. i actually work @ a body shop i don't paint i'm just a bitch boy but there is a lot to it. sand everything down do the door jambs inside the trunk. (the moon roof is the hardest. the hood and under the hood the engine bay. it's expensive . i usually sand and remove shit all day headlights seat. carpet. tell you what color change is a bitch. but putting a body kit isn't much. it get a bit hard when ppl buy these cheap ass body kits that don't fit good. we're auto body repair and collision specialists not magicians.
a good price to paint and put one one is from 400=600 depending on body kit.
