I'm toying around w/this idea right now and can get them made as soon as i'm done w/the gauge run that's happening right now. I'm sure you guys have seen the fake license plates that you get at car dealerships when you buy a car. I'm thinking about getting some made to put for sale. They'd be great for car shows, photo shoots, or just to stick on your wall, or if you don't require a front license plate in your state but have the holder attached. it would most likely be 1 color combo which would be black background w/a silver font saying celica w/the celica font. You could cut it to make it a half plate for those that have trd front bumpers. They would be die cut to size, and 100% printed, not vinyl overlays, made of plastic, weather resistant. I'm thinking they would sell for $5/ea $8/pair w/possible free shipping. Let me know what you guys think (here's a chop)

I think it's a good idea. Another way for you to make more money would be to custom make plates for people looking to have something different on their plate, and just charge them per picture, or letter, or whatever you feel like. I think it's a good idea though, and I would be very interested in buying one if you get around to making them.

Also, are you saying that they would be imprinted by being pressed and then painted? Just a little uncertain on how they would be made.
Also, I think it would be in your best interest to raise your prices a little depending on the time and cost it takes to make one.

they would be only 1 style that would be stocked... i can't get them made in single quantities.
they're pretty much plastic that's been printed on, just like the ones that dealers have.
as far as pricing, i was thinking about going lower to raise more interest, but i'm not sure yet... i think the price is fair, and if i saw em, i'd probably pick up a pair for $8 shipped.
I'm also thinkin of doin em for other cars as well, maybe doing the first batch w/celica, then maybe rx8 or something

Front plates are required in my state, but I havn't had one on in like 5 months and passed plenty of cops from the front and back and they don't seem to care. I just think that regular plates don't look good on the front of sports cars, but I wouldn't mind putting one of these on.
