In order to clean a cold air intake filter such as AEM and INJEN, do I have to take out my front bumpber ? thanks

No, you should just be able to jack up the driver's side of your car, take the plastics off underneath (or at least peel them back a little) and reach the filter that way. You don't have to take off your bumper for install/removal, it's just a lot easier that way.

when you clean your filter...what do you do replace it? or take it off and literally clean it... i clean mine every month. what i do is raise up the car, take off the front left wheel, and the front left fender, then just take the filter off (i put seran wrap around the intake toobe and ruber band it down, so nothing could get in). then i take the filter inside, and at the sink i spray warm/kinda hot water through the filter from the inside to out

there is always K&N filter cleaning kit~ remember to reoil ur filter b4 you put it back on!

thanks for clearing that up...could you replace the filter that comes with aem w/ a K&N filter and see that increases hp...?? i don't think it would make a difference. Use the K&N Filter Recharger kit to clean your current filter.
