hell yes
it is very easy to bend/bust a tire/rim when you have that low of profile.

i never had a problem w/ my 18's when i had 35 series tires. i hit a lot of potholes too. it all depends on wat kind of rim you have. for example, i heard that konig uses a soft alloy and DOES bend easily. good luck.

I have 18's with low profile tires and i have had no problems at all. I have hit so many potholes its not even funny. I mean really really bad pot holes going about 70MPH+. You should not have any problems.

I'm glad someone started this thread because I was wondering that too. Whenever I do get rims, I want 17" with 205/40/17 tires. I take a lot of back roads...I don't hit potholes or anything bad, but it's not always smooth. I shouldn't have problems?
