I saw this on my way home from work tonight at a big dealer. It has 78,000 miles. Is it overpriced?

well don't forget cars are worht differetn prices in different locations.

and it looks like it is a gt since it doesn't have a leather steering wheel.

if it is a gt then it is overpriced.

yup. but don't forget its a dealership and cars are still basically sold (except for saturns) by bartering. a published price typically means nothing...see if you can talk them down at least 1.5k. if you get them down that low..then you are getting an average deal, not a good one. talk them down lower and then the deal sweetens.

if they realistically want to sell it for that price though, forget it. its definately overpiced as already stated...i don't care if its totally maxed out with every feature you can get.

I got my GTS for 21k, had 10,300 miles exsaclly, and it's got 19,575 now. Friend of mine sold his for 20k with 35k miles on it here. I'm not going to sell at or below bluebook, GTS's are much rarer than the GT's, only about 5 or 6 here in SA.

maybe you will try to sell above bluebook..but would you buy above it? probably not..and no one should unless they are ignorant and in that case they deserve the loss.

Resale value for the Celica is gone up, not to mention that if it's a GTS it's gonna be worth more, throw in the custom mods that you've done to it and everything and 20k sounds good, although still a bit high, it's still a good price.

But to answer your question, to find a Celica with that many miles it's waaay too overpriced.

resale for stock is better than resale for modded.

I paid as much as I did for mine, because it's a GTS 6spd, and no one within three towns had one. I feel I should repeat myself there, it's a GTS.. not a freaking GT. GTS owners need to start taking more pride in their car.
