when you installed this pulley kit could you feel the performance increase in your car?

It only provides 1-2 horsepower, so most people can't feel that, but some claim that they can. People generally feel a better throttle response though.

Wasn't this just posted? I myself was wondering because nobody said about the disadvantages. When I crank my AC on or have the defrost on the performance in my Celica sucks. I'm sure not only will this be the same but the AC and other things will be slower in their effect. I was just thinking what about people with supper systems in their cars. Will it affect this as well and how much?

have not notice a decrease in performance when ac is turned on, but its the winter so i don't use the ac, just the heater... do groundwires too that should counteract the electricity problems.

Haha... I've never noticed the A/C thing in my Celi, but I sure know it's possible. I used to have my Miata set to a lower idle speed to save gas, and it started to shake like it was gonna blow up if I had my A/C on at a stop light. Besides the problems when I was idling, I think I was losing an average of almost a second on my 1/4 times when I'd try with the A/C.

ya the a/c really eats up a lot of power. It's almost better to just open the windows and sunroof and get some fresh air. So is the pulley kit even worth it. Besides the throttle response and the small horsepower gain what does it actually do? does it make more power for electronics? since it is on the alternator. so the main question is is it worth the $77?

it makes less power, basically it is a bigger, lighter pulley, instead of the alternator turning say 100 times a minute it turns 80 or 70. It shouldn't hurt electronics unless your running a system or something. Please tell me if your gonna do this, your not gonna put 150lbs of subs in your car cause that would be pointless, this is a performance upgrade, not a show upgrade.

So is this upgrade worth it if you got a powerful stereo?

dude, if you have a powerful stereo, you obviously don't care that much about performance cause your adding 100-175lbs of weight to your car. Why would you want an extra 1-2 hp?

I care about it, I just like music. My box is very lightweight and other then that and my amp its no more weight.

All I'm wondering is if I should do this mod given i have a pair of subs.

i don't think i would try it if i were you. Basically your reducing the amount of power lost by reducing the amount of times you have to turn your alternator. That means that you will be creating less electrical power. For most situations it is perfectly fine, but since your probably consuming all of the power currently there if you reduce it your gonna have some trouble.
