I needed room, tired of the gt & the problem it has been the last 5 months. I traded it with no regrets. Now I have the 3.5SE to go all out in a straight line & the six is pretty nible in the curves. Better balance for me & 4 doors all around. I hate the 120mpph governor though. Good luck everyone. Just time to move on here. Peace.

Sweeeeeet!
Is it the 6s or the 4 banger?
For me, it's a toss between the GTS and the 6s... but the 6 kicks GT ass. Have fun with it... be the first to mod the hell outa it!

you're right about the celica not having much room..so the mazda 6 will be better in that regard. but first off, you had an '01 celica gt. these are not governed at 120mph..you just run out of power eventually until your engine can't push your car any faster. furthermore, you won't fair much better top end with the mazda 6 (even with the v6). it's theoretical top speed is 136 mph, but realistically this will only get you to around 125-130 mph (which IS better i guess..but not by much)

Even if it is heavier, it has a TON more HP and torque and could be modded for even more. I haven't seen many of these things run 14's in the quarter, but it's going to FEEL like an all-around much faster car. Plus I love the interrior. I hope you got the Bose sound system, that thing makes our Celi's JBL system sound like a tin can with string.

I hope you got the Bose sound system, that thing makes our Celi's JBL system sound like a tin can with string. some people have had bad things to say about the bose mobile (car) sound systems (especially in the 350z's) that said, your TON of horsepower & torque is only 220 bhp and 192 lb/ft of torque. (which is a lot better than the gt which he had--but it's still not anything great) but is a v6 and personally i think you should expect more. furthermore it only has a 6500rpm redline. sorry if i sound biased (i am, obviously) but i definately prefer the celica performance wise over the mazda 6. if you want more room, THEN that is a good reason to go with the mazda 6 (obviously the celica doesnt have much). but if you want to compare performance..the difference isn't worth mentioning--imo--and not a good reason to switch cars.

My best friend has a 6 and she loves it...though she doesn't have a v6. I guess it depends on what you're wanting to do w/your car. Does anyone like the new Mazda 3's?

Yeah, I'm not always impressed with mobile Bose units, but I've tested this one out myself. As far as power, I was just comparing it to the GT. If I was going straight performance I wouldn't think twice about taking a GTS over the 6... but for a mix of space and performance, it's really a good value.

Every Mazda looks better than the competing Toyota right now (Celi is excluded, but also in its final year of this design). The 3 and 6 both own, the Miata is still a classic design, and the RX-8 is badass. Our cars are getting fugly . Look at the new Solara or Corolla. I think all the old Toyota designers changed payrolls.

If I were in the market for a sports sedan, the Mazda 6 would definitly be one of the top cars on my list. Good choice.
