hey yall i was thinking about getting a turbocharger for the celica but im not sure. some of them increase your acceleration but decrease your overall speed. What should I do and if i should then which brand/ type? confused

You need to talk to Mike Lu about turbos and you'll need a custom set up most likely.

I can only say... DO NOT GO CUSTOM IT COST TOO MUCH hahahaha I spent over $10,000 on my turbo setup and it is just finished.
I do believe David Draper from West Covina Toyota will have his well researched kit come out in a few month get that, the price for a basic kit is $3500. I don't know about losing topspeed because I have not got on the pedals yet, I am still tuning the turbo to run smoother. But it is damn fast I am at 65mph before I know it, so if you have lead foot a radar detector is recommanded accessory grin

Go check out Newcelica.org Go into the Forced Induction forum. You will find tons of information. Check out the topic by David Draper. It will help tremendously.
