I sent the celi into have the BRS flares painted and installed and that was a week ago!!!! I have been bumin rides from everyone and it SUCKS!!!! But the point of this post is to find out how much stainless bolts are for the flares, the body shop said almost $50 for em', that seems a little steep to me?? eek The way the fenders fit on the action pkg there was a a lot of trimming that needed to be done and there will only be the 3 top bolts holding it to the fender and the rest of them will have the tops cut off and glued for looks, so there are only 5 per fender and $50 sounds a lot for 25 bolts. anyone have any idea what these cost?

Saintless steel bolts are extrememly expensive because of not only is it stainless, but stainless steel is extrememly hard to machine.

Unless the bolts are being painted (you have to protect them from the elements) that pretty much it.

The only other thing to do would be to get regular bolts anodized but that would be more expensive and not last as long. but you could get differnet colors. grin

U could fully mold them on so they dun have that "mechanical" look like most ppl that put on their flares.

molding & painting is THAT expensive? i wouldn't think so and i still don't. you have to buy the paint anyway to match the flare, so all you really have to pay for is the molding..i wouldn't guess it would be more than $50. MAYBE $100.

personally..i'd get them molded. looks cleaner.

molded looks a hell of a lot better...
bolted imo looks like you slapped them on and bolted them without taking your time and having precision/accuracy...barf

but if you buy those bolts, remember, you get what you pay for...so i would say whatever price is good if it's stainless steel

ditto. i totally agree (as i've said above). i'm not sure what kind of bolts you need though if you mold over them. maybe you could save a few bucks because you wouldnt need stainless stell (they can't rust if you don't let water touch them)

yes molded does look better but my body shop guy said that molding things on daily drivers cars falls apart. he said its mostly just for show cars. im not sure why it falls apart but i guess it does.

it shouldn't. i know plenty of people with moded sideskirts (personally..i think all sideskirts should be molded) and they have absoultey no problems whatsoever. and fender flares should be no different..it shouldnt have to move so just bolt it on there really well and then mold them over.

Molding looks ok IMO but I think the bolt on look is way more bad ass, it gives it a real tough look on the celica.

indeed. best saying ever "You get what you pay for" I will die w/ that saying. Because I went cheap a time or two and paid dearly for it. What ever your preferences are and how big into the show scene you are. me personally if i were to fork 2500 of that apr wide body kit i'd for out the extra 1500 to get it molded. along w/ side skirts and hell maybe even rear bumper. buddy of mine had his front and rear molded and the old round vette lights molded in the back bumper. w/o the side skirts molded in kinda crazy but the paint color was wicked the tail lights even looks pretty cool if your into that.
