I know this has probably been talked to death at some point on these forums, but I'm going to ask anyway. I'm getting a Celica soon and I was looking at the Kaminari and WingsWest body kits. (I like to plan everything out before I do it.)

I've heard that they are both good, but is the WingsWest kit lower quality? They are both urethane (which is what I want) but the WingsWest kit is half the price. Am I missing something confused

west wings is cheaper becuase the the front is only a lip and not a replacement bumper. and the rear is a valence and not a replacement rear.
the kaminari complete replaces your front and rear bumpers. grin

both are top notch thumbsup

ditto. less product = cheaper price. both are great quality though (in both the fiberglass AND urethane versions). both are also about the same drop.

yup, they do. i think the kit remains the same in the wings west versions.

in the kaminari versions..the fiberglass kit is dual exhaust and the urethane kit is single exhaust thumbsup

well, here's a link to the kaminari body kit which you can buy in either fiberglass or urethane.

as far as wings west...i can only find authentic ones in urethane. maybe the ones i saw that were fiberglass were replica? i thought they also made them in fiberglass though? not sure anymore. i do know kaminari makes both, however thumbsup

Kaminari makes their kit in both Urethane and Fiberglass
taken from http://www.kaminari.com/products/00Celica.htm

the dual exhaust Kaminari rear was a early design that was never really made and only a few have it, it is NOT in production anymore as an authentic kit..but maybe there are replicas...

as for WW, the authentic kit only comes in Urethane...while if you see fiberglass, it must be replica

so if you buy a fiberglass kaminari, it'll be single exhaust? i thought it was still dual.

correct
the early verson was dual and was most likely made from fiberglass...but production of that never happened, maybe a few.
All Kaminari's are single outlets.

how exactly do the wings west attach if it's just a lip? and is it still a good choice for a kit?

just sticks on and bolts on also...lines up...just drill through stock bumpe and into the lip.

yes, WW is a clean, cheap kit
if you want something a bit more aggressive but still cheap, check out the Vizage kit which is also a front lip/rear lip/side skirts

yup. your original stock bumper is actually made of two pieces..an upper lip and a lower lip. detach the lower lip and the wings west lip attaches on. doenst fit the '03s though.

unless you have done previous bodywork...i don't recommend you doing a body kit install yourself. better to let a professional do it. it's not simple AT ALL.

I got the same dilemma, if you want it quick then go with WW, but if you r not in rush than save $$ for Kaminari becasue that kit is sweet !!

Blitz is full replacement bumper

if you want something similar looking, but is just a lip, then the RMM front is what you want...fits 00-02 grin
