I got a speeding ticket for going 55 ina 45 mph zone. When in reality, it is a 55 mph zone so I really got a ticket for going 55 mph in a 55 mph zone. This is some straight bull shit.
Below is a diagram of when the officer spotted me going 55 in a 55.
I also got a fix-it ticket for my modified exhaust. I have a loud ass skunk2 exhaust. I gotta figure out a way to get off of this shit.

they also gave ticket for your exhaust..that sucks...do you have custom work to your exhaust or just put it on??...its that loud??? or the cop was looking to give a ticket

well i have an unmodified skunk2 cat back exhaust. the skunk2 exhaust just has canister and no muffler or no resonator. on my mid-pipe, i have no resonator just the cat. so on my whole exhaust system, i just have a cat and 1 canister.

I think as long as you see the sign. You don't do 55 up to a stop sign and hit the brakes as you pass the stop sign.

if you can read the sign, then the limit is what is posted on the sign. check with a lawyer about your state, in MD if you can make out the sign, that is the limit.

Don't get it mixed up. It's just a matter of the officer thinking that the area was a 45 mph zone. That particular stretch of road is about 2-3 miles long and the whole thing is a 55 mph zone. Throughout the whole ordeal, the officer and I were in the 55 mph zone.
I don't know of any 45 mph zone within atleast 5 miles of the site of where I was ticketed.

That's exactly what I was planning on doing. My court date is on March 1st. Also, if your exhaust is legal, make sure you show that. Don't let them hassle you, my guess is the cop was hoping you'd just send the money in and not care, since 10 over isn't that bad a ticket. Lame.

well, the speeding ticket will be an easy win it appers.
best of luck with the exhaust though..hopefully the judge will throw out the whole ticket because of the cop's ignorance.

yeah go to coart for that shit i heard that cops can lose if they give you a gay ticket for going over 5 mph then the sign but i dont know if i was you i would take pix of the signs around the area and try to fight it good luck
