Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior TRD exhaust

I have a 2000 Celica GTS auto and I was interested in the TRD exhaust for my car. I just wondered if it sounds any different on a auto from a manual. I have only heard it on a manual and it sounds great. I want that same sound. Thanx

Im guessing it would be a softer sound, since manuals can have higher revs.

Well yeah, I guess if you went higher than 78000 RPM it would sound different... Other than that, no, it won't sound different at all. (workin' on gettin' one of these for myself actually, need that HP gain)

I have a GTS auto with a TRD exhaust and I love it. But when you first get it it really isnt loud, but once you break it in it sounds great.

Are there any other exhausts that won't make my celica sound like a honda? Because I even work for Toyota and I can get the TRD exhaust for 520.00 thats my price which isn't far from regular price. Or is that the price that I am looking at for all of the better exhausts?
