someone broke into my car and stole some of my interior pieces! [Mad] [Mad]

my sponser is not yet done finishing off my interior so here is what it looks like currently. the door panels and rest of the trim will be installed this sunday...i'll update with more pics wave

everything is dye except for the gauge trim and center console (which are paint).

my sponsers dyed the wheel without removing it from the column. they just taped everything around it up and started to dye.

OMG, I thought someone acutally did! You said someone stole a few pieces, the pics show A LOT of pieces gone! LOL! I was gonna reply saying that sucks sooooo much, until I saw. Cool with the steering wheel, I know someone who dyes seats and can do that. I also have Celica GTS emblems ironed into my headrests that he can get...sweet stuff you got goin.

do you have any idea wat kinda dye they used? is the dye for the wheel and the dash the same, or r there different types for different materials?

no idea. all i know is that it is not vinyl dye. i'll be at their shop this sunday for the final touches and i'll ask them for you/post updated pics.

How do you dye? Can you just buy it in a store, or would I have to get it custom done? Please explain this work of art to me, because I would like to dye some things.

hmm I am not sure what the dye is that the person I know uses. I don't think it's something you can do by yourself if your not a painter or anything, I wouldn't try it.

thanks stun wave

in response to those that wished to know how my interior was done, the sponser told me that they did not use the typical vinyl dye and was not applied via an aerosal can. instead the dye came in the same style cans as regular paint, a compressor was used, then applied through an air gun.

not sure if that helps any spineyes
anyways, i'll post pics sometime in the following weeks of the completed project! grin
