Has anyone heard about the XS turbo unit for the Celica? What kind of HP and Torque does it put out? Is it safe for a GTS model? Sorry about all the questions but I'm new to this and want to treat my baby right.

alright guys, first you have to ask yourselves, what was the celica really made for? Is it a car that was made for massive amounts of HP? or was it made for an awesome circuit car on the corners, and modest power? Well, number one, the ZZ block is aluminum. I wouldnt go about force air inducing my celica if I just wanted HP. It is very possible to get great amounts of HP out of it without a turbocharge. The JDM group A TRD tuned 2ZZ-ge has 394 hp, and that isn't to the max. Toyota, tuned it just right, but you CAN bring it higher. This gives hope to those who love normally aspirating, like myself.

Sorry to say it is not quite out yet, they are taking 5 people who is willing to let them have the car to do final fittings and tuning on their kits. For these 5 people you will get pre-production turbo kit + tuning to go with it as well as lower lift and raise fuel cut-off.
Not sure if the slots are filled up yet, and it is only available to people on So Cal grin
Forgot to mention that this kit is GTS only smile
As for the HP on the kits sold, it is dynoed at 255HP to the wheels and this is the kit you are getting. Over that amount need to build up engine which would not be this $6,000 range smile

Are there any 1/4mi times out from owners of either kit (EIP or XS)? And didn't the XS kit blow up?

no 1/4 miles yet, but should have it soon. I am sure 1 of the 5 people that they pick will be a person who love to race (legally ofcourse wink )
On his car will go through more extensive tuning than others probably grin
