1. How much of a shot can a stock GTS take safely?
2. What kind of internals would I need to get if I wanted to get a bigger shot?
3. What's the difference between AEM pulleys and unorthodox pulleys?
Thanks in advance.
1. safely is 50 shot if you have the rpm switch which turns off the nitrous when close to the fuel cutoff point (around $100) For experienced driver 65 shot. 2. Better pistons and rods for starter but then when you do this mod you might as well go all out because it cost a lot to take engine out to do this work. 3. Pulleys is not necessary if you are spraying because with or without pulleys the HP difference is minimal you can barely feel the HP gain.
Thanks for the info Mike. One more question though. Why would I need something that cuts off the n20 close to the fuel cutoff, why couldn't I just let it run?
The RPM "auto-switch" comes with the Zex kit. Other nitrous setups have buttons you actually push. With Zex, you just hit the "arm" button and stomp on it.
i dont think its necessary to have the rpm switch with a wet kit... only with dry. wet kit is made to have a almost perfect mixture or n20 and fuel. ive hit rev limiter in first with my nx wet kit and its all gravey. mechanic said not to worry about it and explained why. i had the same concern
ok, i know you use wet with forced induction and dry with NA, right? but what i would like to know is can you use dry when you have forced induction, and/or is it a cheap change to go to wet when you had dry?
GT300 body kit on, getting fitted, doing install myself. pics comin as soon as my kit is here and painted...
