Hey TRD people! I am now a new owner of a 2000 Celica GTS 6-speed with only 47k miles. Anywho, Toyota isn't new to me since I originally owned an 81 Celica GT which I ran into the ground when I was 18. Basically, I am slowly starting out my mods with a Momo shift knob and need some advice on the best way to install it. I have already discovered there's a bracket which holds up the shift boot. Another problem is that it doesn't allow the bottom "cover" of the shift knob to be installed along with the actual knob. Then there's the plactic chrome on the shift knob which looks somewhat "ghetto" when I tried to just install the knob. It seems that I need to remove it so the boot can be flush with the complete shift knob. Long story short, HELP! [ 03-07-2003, 11:14 AM: Message edited by: JAIMEJAMES ]

UGH. ME THINKS IT WOULD LOOK KINDA UGLY. ESPECIALLY IF MY GIRLFRIEND, WHO OWNS AN ACURA RSX, SAW IT. SHE'S A HARDCORE HONDA FAN. GO FIGURE. ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY IDEAS? I'M ALSO EVENTUALLY GOING TO CONVERT TO A B&M OR TRD SHORT THROW SHIFTER SO CUTTING THE BOOT MAY HAVE TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY. [ 03-07-2003, 12:00 PM: Message edited by: JAIMEJAMES ]

u can take the o ring off. all you have to do is flip the boot inside out and take the clip off of the ring. it comes right out.
