Hi there. I'm looking for an intake system for my Celica GTS. There are so many brands out there that I am confused over which one to buy. I read that AEM has better low end torque and is slower to heat up; Injen has better high end HP; Iceman heats and cools faster. Do you know of a site that has reviews on other intakes (or do you have opinions of such)? What do you think of the ones selling on eBay for about $45 ("Megan" "RaceSonic" "Bomb" etc)?
Thanks, Wil

Just get the Injen Race Div. CAI. Don't get anything else... just get the Injen... trust me... it performs

he asks a good question, has there actully been any reviews on the intake. the HP gain from what i hear is minumal between the intake. I rmm intake and exhaust combo is said to give a 15 HP gain, K&N typhoon short ram is said to give 5 or 6 HP gain, and a generic brand that is the same suff can give the same. Which one is better, that is the QUSETION

Anyway we must regard "intake" as an only part of intake/ exhaust system, I think...

yeah ive been researching intakes for a while now too. for the most part, aem and ingen are the two major brands. while aem might give more torque (which is a VERY small ammount more) the injen gives more high end hp. however, ive read a lot about aem having a lot of check engine light problems. get injen man! and for anyone else that has intake questions.. GET INJEN!

it seems everybody has said injen so far and i hate to be the guy to make it harder to decide but i got an AEM in my car and i love it, great boost in low end power which is where we need it most in my opinion, and you could feel the increase in high end too, i never had a check engine light or any problems, maybe people hooked up their hoses wrong and thats why their gettin the check engine, i give AEM A+++

i'd' go injen...yea our cars lack low end and aem gives low end, but you'd get more use out of a stronger high end, imo

I have a Nakayama CAI (which is the exact same piping design as the AEM), and haven't hand any problems. Plus, the increase in low end power is very nice. There was a dyno done with Injen vs AEM, both with TRD exhausts, and AEM beat out Injen in about 90% of the powerband, even a bit up high. Peak hp was only 1hp below Injen. It totally slaughtered Injen down low, with about 10 more lb-ft of torque at times.
