So I got to the mail box today and there was my new R&T there waiting for me, I open it up and what do i see but this article. Toyota will soon introduce a hybrid SUV based o the Lexus RX300. And we hear that it will set the stage for Toyotas next big hybrid project, a sports car. It makes perfect sense for Toyota, a global leader in hybrid technology, to create a sports car with a hybrid twist. The new-wave Toyota 2+2 (below) is rumored to produce at least 300 bhp, sending power to all four wheels, using a similar system incorporated into the RX 330. The CC&S concept car displayed at the Geneva auto show was apparently a tease. Rated at only 145 bhp, the CS&S was created to gauge public opinion of a possible hybrid sports car. The reaction from the media and public was good, so Toyota may have decided to go forward with the program. This 300-bhp hybrid sports car would fill the void left by the Supra a few years. Ago. I mean look at how damn ugly that thing is plus it's a hybrid, but i'm mostly pissed at how it looks, i'm still looking at it wondering where George Jetson is

yes, the looks are fugly, but it being a hybrid is actually a good thing. electric motors produce a lot of torque, and they dont ahve to shift gears like gas motors do, so you can have the electric motor going the whole time, and shifting with the gas engine while doing the 1/4mile, it would be fast as hell
was....5speed with i/h/e 15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'
is....04 srt4 stock 13.936 100.15mph 2.177 60'

Think about this logically... 300hp, and probably around 60mpg fuel economy! If they were to wrap it in some hot sheet metal, there would be NOTHING to complain about! As it is, i wouldn't complain if i had one, even if it did look like that. It's just something about the efficiency that gets me i guess...

all right, all right so it does get great gas mileage but the thing is too ugly for me . but i do see what you guys are saying about it being a 300-bhp hybrid that does kick ass. It's just not too Jetson like for me kind of like the new Eclipse concept that is coming soon.

it's ugly...and won't look like that but Toyota's hybrid cars are becoming fast their highlander can do 0-60 in 7 seconds so think of what these can do but keep in mind, it will NOT look like that...this car won't be released for a few years...probably 2 or something.
