What's the cause if you've been driving for a long time and the RPM's goes from 1 to 0 then shuts down and does it constantly everytime you restart the car again?

i don't know but i think there are other people who have the same problem. What kind of transmission do you have? when it does it take it to the dealer right away so that they can experience it too. then it'll be covered under warrenty.

I don't think it has anything to do with the transmission. Take your car to your dealer and tell them of your concerns. I myself have kind of the same problem but without my ride stalling. The tac just dips every now and again when stopping which I think is nothing abnormal. I need a tune-up bad and plan to get the 30,000 mile, injectors cleaned again, engine purge again, and possibly my transmission and linkage done for other reasons. I'm sure some of this will go away, but I can't say for sure about your problem.

Could possibly be a really dirty throttle body. They flush your throttle and headers, all the way to your exhaust. Costs a pretty penny though.
