An SAFC is basically a piggyback fuel computer that changes the signal to the ecu to make your car run lean/richer. They are really unessisary on stock motors, or motors with simple mods. If your using the stock MAF and injectors, you dont need an safc, your sock fuel system works good enough. The only time you use an SAFC is when you get bigger injectors and/or bigger MAF, to correct the signal to the ecu. ECU stands for Electronic Control Unit, its the main computer your motor runs off of.

Blitz Power meter is more of a information computer for you to find out your 1/4 times (it has a mode where to figure that out)etc etc. Now by itself it is just information but if you match it up with Blitz SBC i-D (boost controller for the turbo) via infrared it can optimize the boost controller to work better.

Long time no talk, Mikey. Is the turbo all tuned and ready to go?

hahaha well I found out all this information when I got my SBC i-D boost controller, so it tempted me into getting one but no money right now. Neways Shant (rxvedub) will help me out with the gauges and the boost controller (I think), he is stopping by this sunday to borrow my bumper. Said I can boost 8p.s.i. with stock fuel system so thats probably what I will be doing when it is installed and then tune it, will think about doing 10+ p.s.i. later when I am ready to put the new fuel system in.

It is ready to go right now, already running faster than GTS with just stock wastgate setting at 5p.s.i. Even Thax with all his mod said that my car is faster than his, and he is a speed demon grin

If you go turbo, SAFC would be a good thing to have, a good safeguard from leaning out on a stock computer! (assuming you have the supporting mods) And if you really want to get hardcore with the AFC for fuel control under boost, come and talk to me about using the AFC to compensate for boost instead of throttle position.

Well if you are fixing up Celica and turboing it, the stock ECU can handle up to 8lbs if you do not change the fuel system and injector (says turbo-performance) However if you want to go higher you have to add bigger fuel pump + regulator + return fuel line as well as bigger injectors and something to control the fuel.
