I got my ACT clutch kit in, and plan on installing it asap.
My Question is Why are there no install directions on this site, I know lots of you have clutch upgrades...
I've put a clutch in a civic w/ LS integra swap, pretty easy. The celica has a lot more stuff covering the bell housing to the transmission, like the ECM and the battery, I'm mechanically inclined, but I dont want to just start rippin this "stuff" out. Can anybody help, if so please let me know!

if you know how to install a clutch in a car, you should be able to install a clutch into the celica. i'm not saying it's easy, but if you are mechanically inclined and want to do it yourself, you should be able to figure it out. i have heard from various sources that installation procedure for our car is quite extensive and takes a professional half a day to install it.
if anyone on the forums installed their own, i'm sure they'd try to get a write up for it. good luck!

heres what rednosceli from newcelica.org had to say about the procedure in changing the clutch, "Its not hard, just time consuming...
here's a quicky Remove battery and airbox
Undo bolts on rear tranny mount(thats a bitch), remove lower cross-member
Remove axels(i think its a 19mm 12pt on the end, but dont quote that) The just pop out of the axles after you loosen the (guide) on the pass side.
Remove starter disconnect linkage, and I think clutch fluid lines, but not sure
support tranny, unbolt belhousing bolts, and it should drop out."
let me know how it goes. i'd like to know how long it takes you and what tools you needed other than the ordinary?
Team Shoganai...

lolz, although it comes with installation guides..ill take it to da shop regardless. I heard those suckers are hard and if you dont know what you're doing and have problems while driving..then you're pretty much screwed. But Good Luck if you know what you're doing.
