i'm outraged that there are no commericals for the celica. especially the one where they name off every toyota car except for the celica. every time a toyota commerical comes on i'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the celica. i do remember back in the day like in 2000 they had two celica commericals buy y no more? the celica is a superior automobile and it should be showcased.the only good that i can see out of it is that the less celicas on the road keeps the value of my car high. unlike civics. anyone else feel the same way?

im kinda pleased with toyota not making too many commercials for our celica...

funny thing is...even with that, everyone knows about celica, and think it's a pretty decent car! (around my area)

yeah...it would be nice to all of a suddan see that rsx commercial where its going around the windy bridges above the city...then all of a suddan a red Celica GTS comes up from another bridge and intercepts the rsx, cuts in front of it and zooms away as you hear it going from 'normal mode' into lift!

they did had a couple of commercials back in 2000 like the one with the dog and the old man and the police but yeah i like it that way no commercials so not that many pplz have them

I know what you mean I hardly see any celicas where I'm from but thats a good thing, there very rare where I'm from

I do like the fact that the celica is not too advertised but i would like it to be mentioned when they name very other make of toyota. o well, atleast we do not have comercials like the eclipse with people bouncing around to gay music.

im glad there arent cmmercials here in south jersey i see about no lie 20 a day about once a week one with the trd package...they dont need commercials to sell them just seeing them on the road is enough to sell them!honestly im sick of seeing so many soccer moms driving them ...the other day i saw a 60+ couple driving the action package...kind of ticks me off but hey thats life an why shouldnt they enjoy it..well ill tell u, i wish i had the money for gts! damab old folk lololol

Maybe because the new Scion BS is taking over, i remember when the Celi first came out the commercials with the action package, those were great, but i dont kno why toyota got retarded and stopped making em...God dammit we see more hyundai elantra commercials than Celi ones!!!

Don't qoute me on this but this is what i heard...

A possible reason to why Toyota doesn't advertise the Celica is because it's not all "Toyota"...the Camry, Corolla etc is pretty much completely made by toyota..

Somehow, I guess Toyota teamed up with Yamaha to develop our Gt and GTS engine for the Celica...i guess they tweeked it up a bit.

But yea, make fun all you want...it's just my speculation

i stated the reason why Celica commercials weren't aired a while ago...

it's simply because the sales aren't anything special and most of their advertising mine would much rather be spent on the more important cars in the lineup...

you guys can search for it..it was an entire thread on it...


but anyway, when the 8th gen comes out...there will surely be commercials for it.

im kinda happy too that celica doesnt advertise too much. another thing i dont understand is that toyota claims celica sales are very low. well yea it should be comparing with the camry but its better than the SUV's and Avalon they got. I mean in my city a lot of ppl drive a celica gt and around 5-10 gts. btw was there any celica commercial that the car was in action other than the dog being in action? i hope they dont advertise the new celicas so noone will know about it until one sees on the streets. im guessing the 8th generation should be around 220hp since the scion tc is 160. so im guessing the gt would be 180hp and gts 220hp <<<----i hope

They don't need to make commercials...

We already have so many Celica's on the road...

Celica sales dipped after 2002 when the RSX came into the market, it was strong for 2 years in sales but began to slide. Even though Toyota claims sales are low (what do you expect, its a specialty car and won't sell like the Camry or Corolla), it still hammered the 6th generation Celica in sales. The last Celica was a disaster.
