i dont know anything about this motor, but there was another post about it (someone wanted to beat an SS Camaro N/A) and it was talked about breifly. it was said that the 3rd gen. can be swapped into the 2000 and up celicas and has 260 hp. does anyone know anything about it, pricing, specs, etc. any info would be helpful.
1st gen 3SGTE=190hp 2nd gen 3SGTE=225hp 3rd gen 3SGTE=260hp
If you want real power then this is the Celica engine to do it with. Yeah I plan on swappin in a 2nd gen 3SGTE in my car and since it fits in there perfectly the swap wont cost me nearly as much. i hv found these engines w/ 35000miles and a $1500 price. With mods done to it, I will really be one of the fastest street Celicas around.

Where did you see that price? I'll be able to afford that in about two months!
There is a place called Japanese Direct and it carries some of the 3SGTE engines. I hv also seen them on EBAY for $1500-2000. U cn also check Jemco. I think this swap would be a lot more diffucult for you 7th gen Celicas than for myself. It seems like the 7th gen engine would hv more sensors and things on its engine than the 3SGTE's. But if you get it to work you will see the true power from TOYOTAS REAL CELICA ENGINE! Good Luck
