if anyone were to choose between the hotchkis sways would you get the street or competition version? i don't plan on taking it to the track (yet) but i'm not sure if i should even go competition style. already have b&g s3 coilovers (arriving today) and energy suspension bushings. also gonna get hotchkis camber links and strut bar. can't decide on the sways yet...

the competition is ROUGH and you will feel the road right in your spine.

the competition is ROUGH and you will feel the road right in your spine. yeah, now i remember someone telling me that a long time ago. the roads here in norcal suck and my coilovers (although designed for a more comfortable ride) would already be an issue. me thinks the streets are the way to go...

I just placed a call to Hotchkis and asked them what is the difference between the two. The rep said basically what was previously stated. The comp. is very aggressive and a larger bar to add more oversteer. I asked if it still could be used just for street driving and the rep said it would not be a good idea. Only to be used on a track.

i have rode in cars equipped with both.
both had teins ha's as well
the comps are wayyyy harsh my lower back and kidneys got sore after words but man did it handle.
the street are a milder version that would handle jsut a fraction less.
having the competition sways is like datign a aereobics instructor yoru doen and she is still asking for more while your too busy huffing and puffing trying to recover.

comp=track or autox use street=everyday driving unless you have another car to drive around in and only use the celi to race then there is no reason to really really stiffen the suspension too much IMO.

i believe people who want to turn their cars into "race car" performing vehicles do not realise that cars like that don't really provide a pleasureable driving experience. a mclaren F-1 car might be fun for 5-10 laps...but to use it to go to work day in and day out...no way.a ferrari designer said it best "people don't want race cars...what they really want are cars that perform like it's a race car but to be able to drive it for long periods of time". there is a reason why professional race car drivers are in VERY good shape. racing puts so much stress on the body simply because of how the car is made and used. i believe F-1 cars break 4gs while our celis stock barely cover over .90gs...
