hey guys just want to let yall know i just fixed my car. my belt tensioner was going bad and the dealership refused to fix it so...i bought the parts myself including the gatorback drive belt...smooth installation..just want to say thanx to everybody for the info...and whole bunch of props 2 celicahobby.com..PEACE thumbsup

Why wouldnt the dealership fix it?? Good to hear you got it fixed.

the dealership wanted to charge me $400 for my 30,000 mile service. screw that!(so they can look at my sparkplugs) i dont think so. i'll just fix it myself

you should do a write-up with detailed information along with pictures so others can do it themselves. Also I think Isaac will be more than willing to post it in the install section if you do a good job. Heck I'd like to know myself how you did it. Good Job none the less!

wtf why didnt they replace it, my dealership has the tensioner waiting for me right now just need to pick it up and its under warranty, fishy...

I've had a lot of problems with the dealerships in Ga. So I didn't bother to argue I'll just get my hands a little dirty and everything thing will be alright..plus I dont have to wait 10 hours so they can fix it... I'm thinking of posting a install article...What do you guys think? idunno

sorry to hear. the dealership just agreed to fix mine for the 4th time. this time they just changed the belt. they said that it was stretched which was why it squealed. i think it went alright because it doesn't squeak anymore...for now smile
