I have an 03 Celica GT, and I wish to run some electrical components overnight while the engine is off. The problem is when the car is going to be started. The drain from the starter doesn't leave enough power to keep the other electrical components running. Can i put in a second battery and have it stand in hot stand-by? That way when there is too much drain in the line, the second can fill in? I'm not talkinb about a full second battery either, a small backup one only. Thanks for your comments!

First question is why? What do you intend on running all night? A deep cycle battery will drain almost as fast as a normal one but the problem is once its drained it takes forever to charge it up properly.
"They don't make no seatbelt for the mind. So I can't buckle up for this ride!"
why not do that on an outside line? off either an extension cord... or something else thats more hardwired... if its for security... make it so you have full garage protection...
I'd like to have the flexibility of not having to go hard line. In case i'm parked overnight somewhere other than home... I may just scrap this idea though.. A little overkill I think, would be cool though.
hey thats a 20 minute phone call "if i have seen farther it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" derek: do you know that non dairy cream is flamable Jennie: ...derek..what did you do
