those size rims might look goofy on a non-lowered celica Sara.
The wheel well gap will look like a monster truck with low profile tires
even 17"
depends on the profile of the tire. some people go low profile, and it just looks goofy, you have all this "rim" and so little tire, and wheel gap, it looks incomplete. By all means do what you want with your car, but look over some of the cars in the gallery that have 17's and are not lowered.
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation To know even one life has breathed easier This is to have succeeded.
i think the powdercoated purple would look good, only if you had something else purple on the outside of your car (besides the EC decal)...just purple rims on a silver celi would look odd, even though the inside is detailed purple. you gotta make the color ratio even...otherwise i think it would just look odd. if you got some kind of purple decal or something on your windshield or on the side of your car or hood or something, i think it would look good.

I have a windshield decal "Celica" in purple. along with my purple ecelica.com decals on the smaller side windows.
Some of the ugliest things took the longest time to make And some of the easiest habits are the hardest one's to break!!!

that might look ok then, but still i would prolly want to put something more prominantly purple on my car if i was to get colored rims. thats just me though, im really picky about everything being symmetrical.

I had 17s with 215/45/17 tires before I had it lowered, and it looked pretty good...alot better than the stock wheels..lol. But I always wished I would have gone with 18s instead of the 17s.

look at my car... i've got 17's with low profile tires... and my car is not lowered... it really does look goofy to me... but i'm not lowering it until i can lift it back up (with cylinders) because my car is molded together and the roads are really crappy around here and i'm not gonna risk messing my kit up...
ehh I think the purple rims would look very different, and I say go for it, and speaking of color coordination you could always get some purple neon or something
