Check this out... I think the pic of the 8th gen Celica people have been posting is actually a concept pic of the new Scion tc... It is going to be released June to compete against the civic ex coupe and other sport compacts and will be priced under $20,000... also, looks like it will have a lot of potential...
Just some key features to point out about the car:
2.4 liter 4-cyl with VVT-i (2AZ-FE)
HP: [email]160@5700[/email] rpm
Torque: [email]163@4000[/email] rpm
17x7 alloy wheels standard with 215/45/17 hi performance tires
standard panorama glass top
keyless entry with a new key design
knee airbags (driver side)
rear seats recline and can be adjusted in 10 different positions
with the seat folded down there is space for an 8.5' cargo
cast aluminum knobs
the dash was inspired by a Japanese paper - really nice
Nice sporty seats
And for those who crave more HP..TRD will have a turn-key performance option of a supercharger..that will bring it up to 200HP!!!! (scionlife.com)

Tc is NOT replacing the celica. its a completely different car pointed at a different group of buyers, and its made by a different company than toyota. its like lexus making a new car, and everyone saying that its going to replace the celica

that scion ISNT replacing the celica... i asked a guy at chicago auto show... he said its just another branch of toyota thats making cars for teens .. with saftey and all that... (like civics  ughh) but ya celicas damn better than one of those neday

They need to bring back the Supra. No more of this pussy lightweight/small engine shit. Make it as heavy as a tank and put a hemi in it.
