Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Short Shifter

Sup guys, I'm looking for a short shifter for my 01 GT. Just wondering what everyone has and what they think of it. Isaac, I know you have the B&M, tell me about it. I haven't heard of anyone with the TRD shifter, why is that?

I heard good reviews about the TWM. Never tried it though.

TRD is said to be the best. that's what i am going with. i heard it reduces the throws the most.

I've got the B&M on my 00' gts... and i love it. shifts great took about 3 or 4 trips to the store to get used to it over the stock. very nice.

Run down on short shifters:

TWM - shortest throw of all, basically sits right above the leather, roughest shifting and most likely to misshift.

B&M - in between TWM and TRD in height, smoothness and misshifting.

TRD - about an inch shorter than stock, smoothest shifting out of the three, least likely to misshift.

There's a way to shorten your stock one about 3/4 inch, I might just do that to save myself the money. That's the run down on the short shifters though, you could get used to anyone of them though in due time.

have a short throw,but dont know what it is . i got my gts and it was already on there. all i know it has a painted silver look.

(btw if you are wondering about the color shades of the interior...the reds/blacks are all the same. the lighting conditions make it look weird )
