Nah, its like 150 watt sub and a 300 direct feed watt amp, not worth it if you want the 'bump in the trunk'...i'd save up and get something like a 800 watt sub and 800 watt amp, feed like 400 watts to the sub (never feed mass power to the sub, it'll kill it after a short while) and then wire some wattage to the apeakers in the car for better treble and such. Stock speakers are pretty damn good for stock.

depends on how good of highs/mids/and lows you want...i currently have a ppi pc21400(two channel, 1400 watts rms) powering a two yr old pwr fozgate dvc and it is way too much , my stock alternator was being killed and i didnt want to put on my street wires 160 amp alt(so i took my sys out like three days after puttin it in). the thing about feeding too much to sub is wrong, depends on quality of sub you get(and how much bass you want)... my fozgate can handle 2k watts peak... i'd get a seperate four channel amp and run some components and pt sources or what not, you'll need it if your gonna add some bump(dont wanna drown out ur highs)...but it all depends on how far you wanna go, i'm selling my sys to get a smaller sys or for a body kit. remember, the glass from our hatches does a good job of "bouncing" the bass back(way better than a trunk).currently selling ppi pc21400 amp, two fozgate power dvc's, and streetwires 160 amp alt /w battery isolator and power regulator to fund my next add ons to my celica.

i wouldnt buy them. that sub isnt bad but that amp licks ass. w0's are old too. get a 13.5" jl w7 with a jl 1000 watt mono amp. thats what i want only thing is.. one of those subs go for about 1000 each. same with the amp. you get what you pay for man.

remember, too much power is not bad, its distortion that kills subs (as long as you have a decent sub and dont give it way too much wattage)so i'd get a diff amp, that amp is no good. dont kill your sub from having a poor amp(like eninja said, you get what you pay for)

if your going to do it do it right, W7. you can always make more money , i have 2 w7 12's and i haven't lost a competition yet!

tell me about it, thats y i ripped out my ppi pc21400 and the rockford (i only installed one out of two of my power dvc's) and it was way too much. my lights dimmed like crazy and i had a gel cell battery(lightning audio) in the trunk with a one farad power capacitor (600 watt mtx running my mids and highs). not to mention the massive rattling (no where near as bad as my g20 had before i matted it). bustindrums, with all that power, did you install a higher amp alt???

dude the w0 are not to bad i'm runnin 2 15" and have a kicker 800.2 new amp runnin them and all i have to say it pounds louder than my last system 2 12" rockfords (don't laugh) i picked up a 150db in a comp with the rockfords and now the jls are twice as loud so just treat ur subs right and they'll perform...just don't put in a amp and sub make sure to upgrade ur ground and power wires not just the ones goin to the sys i mean like from ur alt. and the bat. and a good head unit with good pre's like better volts
so just play around with the sub...look into a different amp just not sub not yet
also point that sub so its firing back not up or forword but try firing it forward you might like tha sound better but i found it best firing back

pointing the sub(s) towards the glass (up) works very well(but only in hatches with the glass at an angle like ours), in my opinion it pounds harder that way. subs almost always pound harder if you point the subs back(not towards the driver) so that the bass reflects off something (see how loud ur subs are with the hatch open) also if you make your box custom with the subs pointed at the glass, it looks great(especially with a nice amp rack). as far as subs go i like rockford, but my favorite is cove audio if you have a lot of money to throw around. ppi all the way for amps. celica2kgts, did you use power dvc rockfords?? how did you wire your subs (bridged? 2 ohm stereo?)

i'll agree with you on the rockford everyone puts em down but i'm lovin' them but i love jls too!!!

anyways i had 2 12" rockford he2 dual 4s powered by a kenwood 300w mono oldskool amp i had the subs bridge to 2ohms and hit 149.4
then on my second run i switch it up and put in my rockford power800.2 and bridge them on the amp think creating a 1ohm draw (i think 1ohm)but hit 150 with the gain not up too to much
