Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior an odd thing with rear tires...

My rear tires are leaning inwards at a slight angle. Just barely noticeable but they are leaning inwards. Any idea what this could be?

I talked to a guy at a tire place and he asked me if I hit them. I said no, but I did back up into a truck and hit the bumper lightly. But I think the tires were that way before the little love tap.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you've lowered your car then the back wheels would do that. Possibly the front wheels too. I've heard that the Celica is bad about negative camber in the back, whenever you lower it. Otherwise you may have some broken or worn out struts.

yeah if you lowered your car, your back tires will do that. try having an alignment done.
i do believe though that the celicas come stock with slightly negative camber.

I haven't lowered my Celi yet. I was planning on getting either TRD springs or Eibach Pro springs. Should I get camber links with them too?

Yeah i think definetly. If you lower the celica you need to get camber links to keep proper camber. Negative camber looks stupid, and it wears your tires too quickly.

if you put in trd or prokit springs, let it settle for a week. then go have an alignment done. slightly negative camber is actually beneficial for the car in terms of performance.

it should. camber links are also an option, however i don't think its necessary for the trd or prokit drops.
